Kristen with Jodi Foster in Panic Room (2002) |
Kristen Stewart in Cold Creek Manor (2003) |
Kristen in The Messengers (2007) |
Kristen Jaymes Stewart or we all know as KStew, was born on April 9, 1990. HAHA. I think, we all know this already. :)
And I think everybody would agree that KStew is a PHENOMENAL ACTRESS. Yes?
Yes. Yes. Yes. I can see you nodding and agreeing with me on this...and it's not only us who agrees...
Including Rob...
“I mean, Kristen’s great. She’s, uh, one of the main reasons why I wanted to do this: just because of her body of work and also just the audition kinda made me feel very differently about it. I had no idea how to do it before the audition. I mean, she’s an extraordinarily talented actress.”
and...
"Kristen's the best actress of our generation, and that's why I wanted to do this movie. I don't know why she is. She's just better than everybody else."
See? :)
At the age of nine, kids like me were just studying and going to school, coloring stuffs, playing Barbie dolls and different games with friends...but in the case of Kristen, she already experienced being in front of the camera. Appearing on the movie, The Thirteenth Year. But sad to know she was just uncredited for the appearance. But still, it counts.
Then 2002 came, it was definitely the year Kristen got recognized. She starred alongside JODIE FOSTER. She played Sarah Altman, the daughter of Jodie's role.
It was definitely huge and an honor to work with Jodie Foster. It's JODIE FOSTER!
With that, it started off her career...
Kristen received great praises for her role on that movie.
Here's what Jodie Foster has to say about young Kristen:
BETTY: In this film, you have Kristen Stewart playing your daughter. Do you like working with children on set?
JODIE: “I love working with kids. I always have. She’s a great. We hung out. That’s what we did. Never talked about the movie. Never talked about the characters. In between takes we’d talk about bands and stuff like that. I was lucky to be stuck with her. Really young actors work the same way that I work. That is they don’t belabor it. All of the intellectual stuff [and research] they do ahead of time. And when it comes time to perform and somebody says action, you just do it. And then you talk about other stuff.”
and what the director has to say:
Looking at the list of Kristen's filmography, it seems that every year there's a movie she's in. And it's not just one but two or three movies in a year.
She's really dedicated and passionate about her career in acting. And looking at the roles that she played, every role is pretty much different from the other one. It's really great that she can do that, shift into different kinds of roles, with that I think...she will really be that successful in her career. I mean she's already successful but even more successful. :)
Then in November 16, 2007 (in Philippine time...it's my birthday. HAHA), she was officially cast for the lead role of the movie, Twilight, as Bella Swan.
And she didn't disappoint. She's really perfect for the role. PERFECT.
I can't even imagine, any other actress portraying the role of Bella. It's really for Kristen.
The following year, she reprised her role for Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: New Moon together with Robert Pattinson and the rest of the cast, but with a different director this time...Chris Weitz (Yay! :) our fellow, twitter buddy HAHA )
In 2010, 3 of her movies got a release.. The Runaways, Welcome to the Rileys and of course, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Joan Jett says regarding Kstew's performance in The Runaways: “Kristen was so into it, into the whole vibe of doing this,” Jett remarks in the new issue of Billboard Magazine. “I think she felt a weight and a responsibility to interpret it correctly. She was really serious about it and was watching me and asking me all sorts of questions, from speech aspects to watching my body language, watching where I stood, watching my guitar playing. She really worked hard to get it right.”
And as for Welcome to the Rileys: Anthony Breznican of USA Today said, “Kristen Stewart's shocking depiction of a self-destructive 16-year-old stripper/prostitute in Welcome to the Rileys is bound to scandalize. Those who prefer her only as Twilight's lovestruck Bella may be shocked, while others who know her more nuanced work in films such as Adventureland will see a fearless new side of the actress confirmed. . . . Stewart deserves credit for taking the risk of playing this part. It's a shockingly sexual performance...For an actress like Stewart, it would be easy to play it safe. Knock out a romantic comedy or a Nicholas Sparks weepie while the vampire cash keeps rolling in from Twilight sequels. Instead, Stewart is challenging herself, and moviegoers, too."
She got endless praises for landing those roles in the movie... way to go, Kristen! :)
At present, she already appeared in 24 movies... and 2 movies, slated for release this year which are On the Road and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. wow.
And I'm pretty sure, there'll be more movies that will be added up to her filmography. She's so young and has a lot of time for doing and making more movies.
Excited! Go Kristen! :)
What the fans has to say about Kstew being a Phenomenal Actress?
@TeamBella says: She isn’t just the girl who plays Bella in Twilight, she played a rape victim at the aged of fourteen and that takes talent and skill, she plays a badass Joan Jett in the Runaways and cuts off her hair even though Summit tried to bribe her with a lot of money but she stuck by her character and Joan. That made me so proud because other famous stars will do just about anything if the money is right but she is completely committed to her job.
Pinky_Eline posted: she's a phenomenal actress, i've always thought so, when i was a kid, we watched panic room, i was still young and just a few weeks ago i started realizing, that films are acted by people and not just filmed, but anyway as i watched that film i was like:" mom, is this acted?" i don't really remember but my mom told me. but i really admired her then, not knowing i'd be obssesed with that girl 5 years later, and still, i admire her!
Anonymous posted: At last she is so talented i just love to watch her movies...
Anonymous posted: The kind of roles she plays are always difficult and different and she plays them with loads of passion. And it helps you sympathsize with people in different situations instead of just thinking of the steryotypical version of them. She's an amazing actress and can play a diverse range of genres. Like she's done horror, thriller, comedy, romance, drama etc.
