Music Video of the Week: I Was Broken by Marcus Foster
Love Love Love this song by Marcus Foster. I was so happy that he released a music video for this single of his. And a plus, is for the appearance/music video debut of Kristen! Wow.
So, check his music video and enjoy! :D
Lyrics:
I was tied, but now unbound
My head is off the ground
For a long time I was so weary
Tired of the sound, I've heard before,
The gnawing of the night time at the door,
Haunted by the things I've made
Stuck between the burning light and the dust shade.
I said now I used to think the past was dead and gone,
But I was wrong, so wrong, whatever makes you blind
Must make you strong, make you strong,
In my time I've melted into many forms
From the day that I was born, I know that there's no place to hide
Stuck between the burning shade and the fading light,
I was broken, For a long time, but It's over now.
Yes and you, and you,
Well you walk these lonely streets that people send, People send.
There are some wounds that just can't mend, I do pretend, pretend,
I am free from all the things that take my friends
But I will stand hear till the end, I know that I can take the moon,
In between the burning shade and the fading light
I was broken, for a long time, but It's over now
I was broken, for a long time, but It's over now

Song for the DAY: For Annabelle by BAND OF HORSES (Thanks to Kristen!)
Lyrics:
If I want to walk home with you
Hearing every word, thinking it's true
In a barren field for us to cut through
On our victory lap 'cross an old street cat
That turns to stop and see you
A small stone somewhere in your shoe
All day long
All day long
Long
The old folks wake up for the day
Seeing the monsters have lingered from the past
And a great bird is flying away
From our family tree; something wrong with me
I've got a secret or two
Hiding somewhere but
It won't take long
No it won't take long
Long

10:33 - Introducing Bill Condon, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Rob Pattinson
10:34 - All four on stage now.
10:34 - Rob had trouble finding a seat.. typical rob.
10:34 - First question: What was it like fimling in Brazil, how does it feel to be loved all over the world?
10:34- Bill Condon: I know it's very hard (laughs). Filming in Brazil was great. It was amazing.. that's where Stephenie wrote the honeymoon. To actually go there was great. We found the area she described. We got stranded.
Kristen: It was nice being able to shoot on the actual streets. To see that within the context of the movie is jarring.
10:36 - Rob: I'm just going to moderate. It's nice. One of the nice things about having an international fan base.. going to different countries there are different fan reactions. In Brazil fans would literally try to go up and grab you on the set. It was fun. In the shot.
10:36 - Taylor: I do love Brazil but I was not there. They came back and showed me this picture of an extra who looked just like me. They showed me this picture.. it was the weirdest thing. Didn't you guys have to place him further back in case the camera showed up?
Kristen: He looked like an Eclipse poster.
Bill: (joking) we rewrote the story and included you!
10:37- Question: Do you think the Breaking Dawn movies will truly be the end of the saga? or will there be a spin off?
10:37 - Rob: Like, "Breakfast time." (laughs) "Twilight, Eclipse, Brunch"..
Rob: it's up to Stephenie really.
Taylor: I agree.
Bill: It's the end of the Bella/Edward story. Especially in the second movie there are so many new characters I expect she'll want to revisit them at some point.
Taylor: It sounds like oyu have some secret knowledge!
10:38 - Question: out of all the twilight films, what was the most secretive scene you had to film. And which was most exposed to fans:
Kristen: The wedding was insane. Secret service style. The crew was incredibly inconvienenced. No cell phone, etc. They wanted to keep the dress secret.
10:39 - Bill: There was a helicopter as soon as you were ready to take the vows.
Kristen: I had a volturi cloak on cause I had to cover up and that was the only thing we could use.
10:39 - Question: Couldn't hear the question.. something about Brazil.
10:40 - Kristen: We didn't know we were being photographed. That was weird afterward.
Taylor: This movie.. a lot of the movie takes place inside, so most of the time spent we were in Baton Rogue. We had two months in Vancouver. But Breaking Dawn is very intimate. I feel like they did a good job of letting us be creative.

April 1: A PHENOMENAL ACTRESS. . .
![]() |
Kristen with Jodi Foster in Panic Room (2002) |
![]() |
Kristen Stewart in Cold Creek Manor (2003) |
Kristen in The Messengers (2007) |
Kristen Jaymes Stewart or we all know as KStew, was born on April 9, 1990. HAHA. I think, we all know this already. :)
And I think everybody would agree that KStew is a PHENOMENAL ACTRESS. Yes?
Yes. Yes. Yes. I can see you nodding and agreeing with me on this...and it's not only us who agrees...
Including Rob...
“I mean, Kristen’s great. She’s, uh, one of the main reasons why I wanted to do this: just because of her body of work and also just the audition kinda made me feel very differently about it. I had no idea how to do it before the audition. I mean, she’s an extraordinarily talented actress.”
and...
"Kristen's the best actress of our generation, and that's why I wanted to do this movie. I don't know why she is. She's just better than everybody else."
See? :)
At the age of nine, kids like me were just studying and going to school, coloring stuffs, playing Barbie dolls and different games with friends...but in the case of Kristen, she already experienced being in front of the camera. Appearing on the movie, The Thirteenth Year. But sad to know she was just uncredited for the appearance. But still, it counts.
Then 2002 came, it was definitely the year Kristen got recognized. She starred alongside JODIE FOSTER. She played Sarah Altman, the daughter of Jodie's role.
It was definitely huge and an honor to work with Jodie Foster. It's JODIE FOSTER!
With that, it started off her career...
Kristen received great praises for her role on that movie.
Here's what Jodie Foster has to say about young Kristen:

JODIE: “I love working with kids. I always have. She’s a great. We hung out. That’s what we did. Never talked about the movie. Never talked about the characters. In between takes we’d talk about bands and stuff like that. I was lucky to be stuck with her. Really young actors work the same way that I work. That is they don’t belabor it. All of the intellectual stuff [and research] they do ahead of time. And when it comes time to perform and somebody says action, you just do it. And then you talk about other stuff.”
and what the director has to say:
Looking at the list of Kristen's filmography, it seems that every year there's a movie she's in. And it's not just one but two or three movies in a year.
She's really dedicated and passionate about her career in acting. And looking at the roles that she played, every role is pretty much different from the other one. It's really great that she can do that, shift into different kinds of roles, with that I think...she will really be that successful in her career. I mean she's already successful but even more successful. :)

And she didn't disappoint. She's really perfect for the role. PERFECT.
I can't even imagine, any other actress portraying the role of Bella. It's really for Kristen.
The following year, she reprised her role for Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: New Moon together with Robert Pattinson and the rest of the cast, but with a different director this time...Chris Weitz (Yay! :) our fellow, twitter buddy HAHA )
In 2010, 3 of her movies got a release.. The Runaways, Welcome to the Rileys and of course, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Joan Jett says regarding Kstew's performance in The Runaways: “Kristen was so into it, into the whole vibe of doing this,” Jett remarks in the new issue of Billboard Magazine. “I think she felt a weight and a responsibility to interpret it correctly. She was really serious about it and was watching me and asking me all sorts of questions, from speech aspects to watching my body language, watching where I stood, watching my guitar playing. She really worked hard to get it right.”
And as for Welcome to the Rileys: Anthony Breznican of USA Today said, “Kristen Stewart's shocking depiction of a self-destructive 16-year-old stripper/prostitute in Welcome to the Rileys is bound to scandalize. Those who prefer her only as Twilight's lovestruck Bella may be shocked, while others who know her more nuanced work in films such as Adventureland will see a fearless new side of the actress confirmed. . . . Stewart deserves credit for taking the risk of playing this part. It's a shockingly sexual performance...For an actress like Stewart, it would be easy to play it safe. Knock out a romantic comedy or a Nicholas Sparks weepie while the vampire cash keeps rolling in from Twilight sequels. Instead, Stewart is challenging herself, and moviegoers, too."
She got endless praises for landing those roles in the movie... way to go, Kristen! :)
At present, she already appeared in 24 movies... and 2 movies, slated for release this year which are On the Road and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. wow.
And I'm pretty sure, there'll be more movies that will be added up to her filmography. She's so young and has a lot of time for doing and making more movies.
Excited! Go Kristen! :)
What the fans has to say about Kstew being a Phenomenal Actress?
@TeamBella says: She isn’t just the girl who plays Bella in Twilight, she played a rape victim at the aged of fourteen and that takes talent and skill, she plays a badass Joan Jett in the Runaways and cuts off her hair even though Summit tried to bribe her with a lot of money but she stuck by her character and Joan. That made me so proud because other famous stars will do just about anything if the money is right but she is completely committed to her job.
Pinky_Eline posted: she's a phenomenal actress, i've always thought so, when i was a kid, we watched panic room, i was still young and just a few weeks ago i started realizing, that films are acted by people and not just filmed, but anyway as i watched that film i was like:" mom, is this acted?" i don't really remember but my mom told me. but i really admired her then, not knowing i'd be obssesed with that girl 5 years later, and still, i admire her!
Anonymous posted: At last she is so talented i just love to watch her movies...
Anonymous posted: The kind of roles she plays are always difficult and different and she plays them with loads of passion. And it helps you sympathsize with people in different situations instead of just thinking of the steryotypical version of them. She's an amazing actress and can play a diverse range of genres. Like she's done horror, thriller, comedy, romance, drama etc.
doDazzle posted: She's a good actor; she's very dedicated to her job; She's amazing and very talented
danielle posted: She is dedicated to each role she puts herself in.
Agree? :)
Yay!
So this is my first post for the countdown to Kristen's Birthday. Hope you like it! :)
I'll be continuing my post. Next one will be tomorrow, April 2. :)

THE TWILIGHT SAGA CHANGED EVERYTHING!

2005, marked the start of an era for all the Twi-Hards, Twilighters, Twi-Moms, or whichever name you want them call, as long as they are fans of THE TWILIGHT SAGA. Everybody knows that in that year, the first book off the series, TWILIGHT hit bookshelves. And I think at that time, nobody predicted what it would become today. VIRAL.
Now, everything in the world seems to revolve and related with THE TWILIGHT SAGA.
CONCEPT ON VAMPIRES
In the past, once we hear the word VAMPIRE, we immediately relate it to DRACULA, BLOOD, DEATH, FEAR and all those creepy stuffs. But with the release of TWILIGHT, the way we look at vampires CHANGED. Right?
Now, we associate it with HOT-SEXY-HANDSOME-BEAUTIFUL-SPARKLY BEINGS. We fell in love with the whole concept of it, and even got addicted to them. TWILIGHT definitely changed what people seem to believe in the past.
With the success of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, it paved way for other authors that have written books with concepts and characters of VAMPIRES and IMMORTALS. Really, books with a VAMPIRIC THEME ended up in the BESTSELLER’S LIST.
MUSIC
When TWILIGHT, NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, hit theaters, we were not just enthralled by the movie itself. We were also hooked with the songs used in it. Yeah, I know everybody would agree with me when I say that Twilight fans created a whole playlist in their IPODs and MP3s with all the songs from the soundtrack albums and even songs of the artists involved. Am I right, again?
In the soundtrack, I can see that the artists that were involved are not yet that big in the industry. They’re mostly the Indie-type bands. But with the involvement that they had with the movies, they were immediately recognized by everybody. And disregarding the songs that they’ve written for the soundtrack album, all of the artists and their songs are GREAT. To name a few are, PARAMORE, MUSE, CEE LO GREEN and FLORENCE + THE MACHINE. They are really great MUSICIANS on their own.
It changed the way people look into music. It was not just about, Ooooh I LOVE THEM because they’re mainstream musicians which make them popular. But NOW, we look at it like, Oooohh I LOVE THEM because they’re GREAT MUSICIANS who writes GREAT LYRICS and really let people understand what they are feeling with their songs. We think about the songs, reflect on it.
FASHION
Plaid, Tight Fitted Shirts, Jackets, Hoodies, Long Sleeves, took the world by storm. It’s like everywhere we look; we get to see gals and guys wearing these stuffs, dressed up like Edward and Bella. THE TWILIGHT SAGA MOVIES influenced the fashion industry a lot. Different brands came up with their own lines that are looking like the closet of TWILIGHT MOVIE. To name a few in our place are, PENSHOPPE, BENCH, BNY and WRANGLER JEANS. (For more details on this one, read my other article, TWILIGHT TAKES OVER FASHION)
CHANGED LIVES
Yeah. THE TWILIGHT SAGA changed LIVES. Not just the life of the author, STEPHENIE MEYER but also the actors and actresses involved in it. And most especially OUR LIVES.
ROBERT PATTINSON and KRISTEN STEWART are the HOTTEST CELEBRITIES in HOLLYWOOD and it’s because of the HUGE SUCCESS of the TWILIGHT MOVIE. It’s like everywhere we look; we get to SEE their FACES in POSTERS, MAGAZINES, SHIRTS, and other stuffs.
They’ve got so much talent in themselves, that’s why they were CHOSEN to portray the MAJOR CHARACTERS in this series. They’re portraying their roles like they were really meant to be doing that particular character.
Fans love them to death, and supporting them even the movies that they’re doing outside THE TWILIGHT SAGA. And everybody is STOKED for their FUTURE PROJECTS. Like the one that we are currently waiting for, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS for ROB and ON THE ROAD for KRISTEN. WE LOVE THEM SO MUCH, RIGHT? I KNOW EVERYBODY WOULD AGREE WITH ME…
OUR LIVES...
Now, we’re up to date with everything the surround us. Not just with the updates about them (ROB, KRISTEN and the MOVIES), but also with the news around the world and the likes. We are not just contented to be someone who doesn’t know about anything, we want to look and figure out these things by ourselves. And that happens with the help of the TELEVISION, RADIO and the INTERNET.
It pretty much changed OUR LIVES, in the sense that we developed our fervor for reading. Started from reading this whole SAGA, and now you’re finishing up a whole lot of other books. That’s so COOL.
The next reason…I’m really thankful about this.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA HELPED ME GAIN, MEET AND KNOW LOTS OF PEOPLE. When the whole TWILIGHT CRAZE started, I knew not that many people who LOVE it, I think it was just my friends over here. But now, I’ve meet and known a lot of PEOPLE, not just LOCALLY but INTERNATIONALLY. With that I am so thankful and happy.
Now, I get to have friends that I can talk to about anything in particular. It’s like THE TWILIGHT SAGA, became a bridge for knowing lots of people. And it’s really great because, even though we’re from a different country having a different culture than mine, once we’ve started talking and we’ve got OUR LOVE FOR THE TWILIGHT SAGA in COMMON, the whole conversation becomes EASIER and then we may not realize it that we’ve already built a GREAT RELATIONSHIP with each other.
And I’ll really treasure this people that I’ve met because of TWILIGHT. I really will. And I really, HOPE everybody will do to.
